Tournaments

Everyone starts from zero.

Tournaments have their own leaderboard, separate from the global one. Old records do not count, so a new player has the same chance as a veteran.

Every score is checked.

A leaderboard is only fun if it is honest. That is why ALO Block does not simply trust the number a phone sends.

Server replays your game

Every ranked game is sent as a list of moves. Our server plays them again from the same start and only accepts the score it gets itself.

A code at every login

Logging in needs your password and a 6-digit code sent to your e-mail, every time. A stolen password alone is not enough.

Names that stay put

A display name can be changed once every 7 days, so the board stays readable and nobody hides behind a new name each hour.

Your data, kept small

Without an account nothing leaves your phone. With one, we keep only what the leaderboard needs. Read the privacy policy.

Questions, answered.

When can I download ALO Block?
ALO Block is in final testing and is coming soon to Google Play for Android. This page will link to it the day it is out.
Is it free?
Yes, ALO Block is free to play.
Which phones does it run on?
Android 7.0 or newer. The download is only about 2.8 MB.
Do I need an account?
No. You can play everything without an account, also offline. An account is optional (13+) and only needed to put your name on the global leaderboard and in tournaments.
How do tournaments work?
A tournament has its own leaderboard and runs for a set time. Everyone starts from zero; only games finished during the tournament count, and your best one is on the board. The top 3 get a gold, silver or bronze badge on their profile.
Why do I get a code by e-mail every time I log in?
It protects your account and the leaderboard. Even if someone learns your password, they cannot log in without the code sent to your e-mail.
I forgot my password.
On the log-in screen in the game, tap Forgot password? and enter your e-mail. You will get a link from us to set a new password.
How do I delete my account?
In the game: Settings → Account → Delete account. Without the game, follow the steps in the privacy policy.
